Cairo Media resources 7/31/2013 : H.E Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday welcomed in his office Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea at the head of a delegation comprising the adviser to President Isaias Afwerki for Political Affairs, to convey a message of support and the support of the Government and people of Eritrea to the Government and people of Egypt, and to emphasize the support of Eritrea and its respect for the will of the People of Egyptian revolution unfolding in the June 30, 2013.

The Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry that the meeting between the Egyptian and Eritrean sides characterized by warmth and intimacy, and touched on the ways to promote and support bilateral relations between the two countries, during which the agreement to launch a joint mechanism for political dialogue between the two countries.

He added that the two ministers also discussed in the meeting the regional situation in the Horn of Africa, and in particular the political situation in Somalia, as well as regional security issues and the security of the Red Sea, where the two sides stressed the support of the stability and unity of Somalia. For his part, Minister Nabil Fahmy explain the political developments witnessed in Egypt during the recent period, presenting an overview of the most important features of the road map, and stressing the Egyptian government’s intention to proceed with the implementation through a political process in a transparent and inclusive.
