Eritreans in Denver joined by community leaders from Jordan, Sudan , South Sudan and leaders from the American mainstream with SALINA band to celebrate the “52” years of the 1st. of September anniversary.
The show started by the National Anthem performed by the wonderful musicians of SALINA band. It was illimitable moment to see the audience standing with respect and humbleness to remember those whom they falls down the long march to achieve- the Independent of Eritrea and walk the walk- for the last “52” years to safeguard Eritrea against all adversaries internally and externally.
Then the audience was approached by the main speaker Mr. Tsegay Habteyesus, as he spoke in depth about the core value of the Eritrean heroism, self-reliance and steadfast to bring the independent and the face the challenges ahead together with his call for more sustainability to achievement the- Nation Building- tasks in Eritrea and among the Diaspora, not to mention that he was able to welcome and introduce the SALINA band in the U.S. and explains the impact they made in both Festivals of Eritreans in the East and West coast and the coming tour around the U.S.
It was indeed a night to remember since the joy, happiness, & pride were beyond the expectation as the performance of the SALINA band started. Since this is the first time the community to enjoy a Diva like Zeneb Beshir, and veteran women, together with a legend warsai like Tikabo, followed by outstanding performance of Melekin with his diversifies ability and theatric move in the stage seconded with cultural songs, not to mentioned the audience was taken in depth by the traditional songs and lyrics of Dawit Shilan a talent singer.
It was in fact one of the greatest nights the communities in Denver to have, since they had the chance to watch the performance of many diversify groups and multicultural of Eritrea in one night, particularly, the born Eritreans Americans in the U.S as they were the most luckiest and fortunate audience to bring them Eritrea in their adapted county.

The singers gave the most of their talent, as the SALINA band realized this is an exceptional audience presented from all walks of life, not to mention the big number of the youth lead by the YPDFJ whom decorated and set the Hall in the Marriott Tech Hotel with a first class sound & lighting system, supported with a unique decoration.
The next day was another event for the community to invite the kids, the families at large to spend a picnic day in one of the most wonderful summer of Colorado to associate and interact socially with the SALINA band. The Taste of Eritrea was all over by presenting the traditional Coffee, food, games for the kids and sport for the youth organized by the YPFDJ and sister and mothers of the community.
